WANTED: ACTORS AND READERS

We’re looking for both, but please note that our readers and actors are volunteers (except when we get commissions for table reads or similar, which are paid).

S&CO ACTORS: Are you a great sight-reader who, whatever the genre or tone, can bring words off the page with alacrity (and, ideally, in various accents)? We’re particularly interested in actors of colour or those with a playing age of 65+. Auditions are on Thursday 7 September at 7pm or Saturday 9 September at 9.30am, both UK-time, so please state your preference in an email, attaching a headshot and/or Spotlight link, if you have one.

S&CO READERS: We’re looking for three more friendly, eagle-eyed, perceptive readers to join our happy team and assist judges for our festival. You’ll need to be comfortable assessing and writing notes on plays as well as screenplays, shortform and full-length, and will offer a sound understanding of what differentiates a great script from one that needs attention. As you’d expect, before letting you loose as a reader, we’ll put you to the test, to check your skills, via a series of sample scripts!
